OPP News Release
(KENORA, ON) –Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested three youths following an early morning break in to a business in Kenora’s north end. On Thursday August 13, 2015 at approximately 2:00am police responded to an alarm at a business in the Rabbit Lake area. When police arrived they noticed the building had been broken into and alcohol had been stolen. Police conducted a K9 track which assisted with the investigation.
With the assistance of the Kenora Street Crime Unit and Scenes of Crime Officers (SOCO), three male youths from Kenora were arrested August 13, 2015.
The 17-year-old accused has been charged with two offences contrary to the Criminal Code:
• Break and Enter – Commit Indictable Offence
• Fail to Comply with Undertaking
The 16-year-old accused has been charged with the following offence contrary to the Criminal Code:
• Break and Enter – Commit Indictable Offence
He has also been charged with the following offence contrary to the Youth Criminal Justice Act:
• Fail to Comply with Sentence x 2
The 13-year-old accused has been charged with two offences contrary to the Criminal Code;
• Mischief Under $5,000
• Break and Enter – Commit Indictable Offence
He has also been charged with two offences contrary to the Youth Criminal Justice Act:
• Fail to Comply with Sentence x 2
All three accused have been held for bail court on August 14, 2015
