Thunder Bay 50/50 draw already over $1 million

The grand prize draw will happen Friday, Aug. 30.

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay 50/50 draw has already exceeded $1 million and it’s only the first day of the month.

This is the 12th consecutive month that the 50/50 has exceeded $1 million, which has left Glenn Craig speechless.

“I never could have dreamed that when we started this lottery back in January of 2021, three years later, we would be achieving monthly grand prize draws of over $1M+,” said Craig, president and CEO of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation.

“The Thunder Bay 50/50 has attracted support from all across the province. These are dollars that, without this program, would never have made their way north to support our hospital."

The grand prize was at $1.074 million as of 1 p.m. on Monday.

The Thunder Bay 50/50 has awarded over $43 million in prizes to winners across Ontario. In the last 12 months, around $18 million in total prizes have been awarded.

“There’s still a whole month of opportunities left to win during our August ‘Dogs Days of Summer’ Draw,” said a media release issued by the foundation.

There will be at least one Early Bird winner every weekday and an exclusive $100 Summer Bonus Ticket Package including bonus numbers.

The grand prize draw will happen Friday, Aug. 30. Tickets are available online at www.thunderbay5050.ca or at the 50/50 Store inside Intercity Shopping Centre.

Tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, Aug. 29 to be eligible for the grand prize draw on Friday, Aug. 30, at 11 a.m.
