No one won the $50-million Lotto Max jackpot on Friday night, but someone in the Thunder Bay area is $498,402 richer.
An Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation spokeswoman said in an email a second-place ticket was purchased locally. The winner has yet to come forward.
Five MaxMillions prizes of $1-million each were available, and a ticket bought in Saskatchewan is claiming one of those prizes.
The jackpot for the next draw on Dec. 11 will be $55-million, and there will be approximately 12 MaxMillions prizes available.
Lotto Max's grand prize was last won Nov. 6, when a jackpot of $60-million was shared by two winning tickets -- one bought in Edmonton, and the other in Conception Bay South, N.L.
Each ticket was worth $30-million.
