Thunder Bay hospital COVID admissions fall by three

TBRHSC now has 32 COVID-19 positive patients

THUNDER BAY — There's been a slight drop in the number of patients admitted to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre who are COVID-19 positive.

The hospital reported Tuesday that it had 32 of these patients.

Five of the 32 were in the Intensive Care Unit.

On Monday, TBRHSC had 35 COVID-positive patients, including six in the ICU.

The hospital's current medical/surgical occupancy is about 107 per cent, but ICU occupancy is approximately 86 per cent. 

There is currently one confirmed COVID-19 outbreak at TBRHSC.

It's in the Transitional Care Unit/Cedar Site which the hospital operates on the property of Hogarth-Riverview Manor.
