Thunder Bay man nabbed for drinking and driving

Thunder Bay OPP arrested a man Wednesday for impaired driving.

THUNDER BAY -- On Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at approximately 3:25 pm, an officer from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 61.

The Officer spoke to the driver and determined the driver had been consuming alcohol. The driver was transported to the Thunder Bay OPP detachment for further tests.

Christopher GARBO, 60 years of age, from Neebing, Ont was arrested and charged with:

-Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code,

-Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mgs of Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on March 28, 2017 to answer to the charges.
