Thunder Bay paramedics giving flu shots to the public

Clinics will operate at EMS headquarters Monday to Thursday

THUNDER BAY -- Superior North EMS is inviting Thunder Bay residents to roll up their sleeves and get a flu shot at EMS headquarters in the coming week.

Paramedics will administer this year's flu vaccine at clinics that are open to the public, from Monday, October 30 through Thursday, November 2.

All clinics will be held at EMS headquarters at 105 South Junot Ave.

This is the schedule:

  • Monday - 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Tuesday - 7 a.m. to 12 noon
  • Wednesday - 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Thursday - 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Superior North EMS says it's best if you wear a short-sleeved shirt.

According to Health Canada, the flu ranks among the 10 leading causes of death in Canada.
