An Australian national news service has put Thunder Bay on a list of places Aussies may want to check out.

A travel article published by news.au.com, a news an entertainment website owned by News Corp Australlia, highlights some of the top destinations that don’t typically receive Australian guests.

The article highlights destinations like Akrotiri in Greece, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, Puerto Montt in Chile.  The piece, titled ‘Holiday destinations where you won’t find Aussie travellers’ also points out Thunder Bay to its readers.

“If the great outdoors excite you and you’re not scared off by wolves crossing your path while you’re cycling, Thunder Bay should be on your bucket list,” the article reads. “There’s everything from snow sports, to fishing, hiking and camping.”
