THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay Ventures is once again looking for a new executive director.

Martin Wyant, who took on the job in September 2019, is no longer with the organization.

Wyant had been hired by the United Way of Thunder Bay in December 2018 as its CEO, but joined Thunder Bay Ventures nine months later upon the retirement of Royden Potvin.

Wayne Fletcher, president of Thunder Bay Ventures' board of directors, told Tbnewswatch Wyant is seeking other opportunities.

Fletcher said the board hopes to find a successor by the end of November.

Thunder Bay Ventures is a federally-funded organization that provides programs and services that  support local economic development and small business growth.

This year it has offered COVID-19 recovery loans of up to $40,000 to qualifying businesses, with up to 25 per cent of the loan being forgivable.
