THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay residents enjoyed some weather conditions in October that aren't typical for the area for the first month of autumn.

Environment Canada meteorologist Haizhen Sun has looked over the data and has found that the average maximum temperature last month was 13 C.

Sun says that's three or four degrees higher than the average daytime high in October since at least 2010.

The warmest day of the month was Oct. 21 which saw a maximum of 21.5 C.

The coldest temperature was -4.6 C, recorded on Oct.25.

Environment Canada's current 7-day forecast for Thunder Bay indicates that on most days over that period, the high temperature will be considerably lower than the normal 6 C for this time of year.
