A tongue-in-cheek Facebook posting by the Thunder Bay Police Service is focusing on stop sign issues at an intersection in River Terrace

Posted Monday evening, the Police Service’s Facebook post speaks to the issue of a four-way stop that seems to be ignored by most drivers in the River Terrace area. Thirty-eight drivers were ticketed as a result of a recent blitz.

You can read the entire Facebook posting below, or follow the link to the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Facebook page here.

Lots of Angry People in River Terrace
On one side, the people very upset about the number of drivers who are totally ignoring this stop sign.
On the other side, some of the thirty eight drivers who got a ticket today for not stopping.
And we're talking about "aw c'mon that wasn't even close to a Westfort stop! That wasn't even trying !" obvious.
The detours have people grumpy on both sides of the issue.
Please drive a bit more carefully to avoid a costly reminder.
The officers wanted to say thanks to the people who offered refreshments, but a lesson every officer soon learns.... Liquid in + 20 minutes = trip to closest washroom.
