Kenora OPP are struggling to deal with an odor problem emanating from their narcotic storage area.

Inspector Dave Lucas says they've confiscated about 300 pounds of marijuana and 18 pounds of cocaine in the past three years. Much of that material is sitting in their detachment office, waiting for the court cases to wrap up.

Now, visitors and staff are complaining about the smell.

Lucas admits it is a health hazard, and the OPP is looking to find a suitable off-site storage area as soon as possible.
