THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay motorists planning to drive on Memorial Avenue south of the Harbour Expressway will have to use a detour starting on Monday.
The city is closing the section of Memorial between Isabel Street and the Harbour Expressway for the entire week, to allow for rehabilitation at the CN railway crossing.
Work at the site, which includes installation of new concrete panels and resurfacing of the road, is expected to be completed by Saturday.
Detour signs will be posted to direct traffic to Fort William Road for the duration of the project.
However, the city says there will still be access to businesses within the limits of the closure.
