FORT FRANCES – An early morning traffic complaint has led to impaired driving charges for a Fort Frances man.
According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, officers received a complaint Tuesday from a member of the public of a motor vehicle in the ditch east of Fort Frances.
Officers attended and while speaking with the driver, it was determined that he had been consuming alcohol beverages.
The driver was placed under arrest and returned to the detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Fort Frances man has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol or drugs and operation while impaired – over 80.
He was released by way of undertaking for Fort Frances court on Feb. 28 to answer to the charges.
