THUNDER BAY - A group of business owners met with city officials Thursday over traffic concerns in the Algoma Business District.
The issues stem from vehicles speeding through the single lane section of Algoma between Bay and Cornwall, as well as pedestrians unable to cross the street to shop.
Bean Fiend owner Brian Hamilton, as well as a member of the Bay and Algoma Business Association said they just wanted to see if something could be done to make the area safer for everyone.
Hamilton added that the idea is to come to a solution that balances the needs of Thunder Bay commuters and those who wish to shop and walk the area.
