Northwestern Ontario roads are proving dangerous on Thursday.

OPP on Thursday afternoon closed the region's highways in two locations because of collisons involving transport trucks.

Police say Highway 11 is closed in both directions because of a crash involving three transports, while they shut down Highway 11/17 near Bible Camp Road in the Dorion area because of collision between a transport and a passenger vehicle. The latter collisions has since been cleared and traffic is once again flowing in both directions.

There is no word on injuries in either incident, nor have police indicated how long the highways will be out of operation.
