The southbound lane of Memorial Avenue is closed at Squier Street.
The lane will remain closed as city work crews clear an ice build up in that area.
City of Thunder Bay officials say a storm sewer on Memorial Avenue frozen when temperatures dropped overnight, and the water from the catch basins spilled into the streets.
Crews hope to have the problems resolved sometime this evening.
