Traffic stop leads to cocaine seizure

EAR FALLS – A traffic stop on Highway 105 has resulted in charges for a 52-year-old Ear Falls woman.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, officers from the Red Lake and Ear Falls Detachment conducted a traffic stop Wednesday, Feb. 2 just before 7:30 p.m. on Highway 105 near Highway 804 in the Township of Ear Falls.

As a result of the stop, Pamela MACKIE, 52, of Ear Falls, was charged with possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

She was released by way of an undertaking to appear in Red Lake Court on April 21 at 9 a.m. to answer to the charges.
