Traffic stop leads to drug, weapons charges

Two have been charged following a traffic stop conducted by OPP on Jan. 26.

SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. – A traffic stop on Highway 72 has resulted in drug-related charges for a pair from Sioux Lookout.

According to an OPP release, police conducted a traffic stop on Saturday with a vehicle on Highway 72.

As a result of the traffic stop, police say Eric Lindstrom, 47, of Sioux Lookout and Leanna Dodsworth, 30, of Sioux Lookout have been charged with possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds obtained by crime and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Lindstrom was remanded into custody to answer to his charge.

Dodsworth was released on a promise to appear in court on March 19.
