Traffic stop leads to multiple drug charges

A 25-year-old Collingwood resident is facing drug-related charges following a traffic stop.

FORT FRANCES, Ont. – A Sunday afternoon traffic stop has led to multiple drug-related charges.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, Fort Frances OPP conducted a traffic stop on Sunday in the 400 block of Scott Street.

As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Collingwood resident has been charged with possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-methamphetamine, possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-Cocaine, possession of property and having care and control of motor vehicle with open Cannabis.

The 25-year-old is scheduled to appear in the Fort Frances Ontario Court of Justice on Dec. 14.
