KENORA – A man has been charged with trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine, and other drugs after police executed a search warrant in Kenora late last month.
Police say the search was part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of illegal drugs in the Northwest, and netted drugs with a street value of over $1,100, as well as over $500 in cash and drug paraphernalia.
OPP officers executed the warrant in the 700s block of Eighth Avenue South in Kenora on April 28, around 9 p.m.
A 30-year-old man now stands charged with three counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking (Schedule I) of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and hydromorphone; one count of possession (Schedule I) of methamphetamine; possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, and failure to comply with a probation order.
The accused was released on a summons to attend the Kenora Courthouse on May 20.
