THUNDER BAY - Young athletes eager to hone their skills will get some helpful lessons from a CFL champion.
Training with a Pro is returning next weekend and will once again feature Ottawa Redblack’s Nigel Romick.
Originally from Thunder Bay, Romick was with the Redblacks when they took home the 2016 Grey Cup.
Romick participated in Training with a Pro last year and the year before. He said he keeps coming back because of the smiles on the kid’s faces.
This year’s program will offer dry-land training for children and youth ages five to 13. The training camp will be held on Saturday Dec. 22 at the Goal Sports Centre and is in support of PRO Kids.
