THUNDER BAY - Police are investigating a collision involving a tractor-trailer on Highway 102/Dawson Road.
The transport truck left the road Sunday on a section between Mapleward Road and Dog Lake Road, entered the ditch, and apparently struck a tree before coming to rest near the driveway of a residence.
OPP said the driver, who was not injured, faces a charge under the Highway Traffic Act.
The truck sustained extensive damage, but the trailer remained upright.
On Monday, traffic on the highway was disrupted while a tow truck was on the scene removing the unit shortly before the noon hour.
