Tree on line causes major power outage

About 2,000 customers in the city's rural north sector will be without electricity until about 11 p.m.

THUNDER BAY -- A power outage in the rural northern section of the city has left about 2,000 customers without electricity on Wednesday night.

Officials with Thunder Bay Hydro say the outage was caused by a tree on the line and power is expected to be fully restored by 11 p.m. Crews are on site.
