A truck struck a 19-year-old woman Saturday after the pedestrian attempted to cross an intersection during a red light, police said.
Thunder Bay detachment OPP officers responded to the vehicle-pedestrian collision just before 10 p.m. at the corner of Red River Road and Highway 11/17.
Police say a woman entered the intersection while facing a red light. A truck, which faced a green light at the time of the collision, struck the pedestrian from Big Trout Lake.
Paramedics transported the woman to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police have since issued the pedestrian with a Highway Traffic Act ticket.
