Truck rolls, driver charged

THUNDER BAY -- A 33-year-old trucker is facing careless driving charges after a wood-chip-laden transport he was at the wheel of overturned Thursday morning at the intersection of Highway 527 and Highway 11/17.

THUNDER BAY -- A 33-year-old trucker is facing careless driving charges after a wood-chip-laden transport he was at the wheel of overturned Thursday morning at the intersection of Highway 527 and Highway 11/17. 

In a release, Ontario Provincial Police said the vehicle was headed wesbtound from Highway 527 when it rolled over onto the driver's side of the truck. 

The driver suffered non life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. Extensive damaged to the tractor portion of the vehicle was sustained. 

Police did not release the driver's name.
