Two arrested following north-side drug bust

Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service’s drug unit and community response team found more than $13,000 worth of narcotics after the search of a Piccadilly Avenue home Tuesday.

Drugs seized by officers include about 53 Percocet pills, 26 Oxycodone 40 milligram tablets, 22 baggies of crack cocaine and about 900 millilitres of liquid cocaine.

Police also found nearly $5,000 in Canadian currency.

A 59-year-old man and a 66-year-old man have been taken into custody by police.

Police charged both men with:
  • Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Possession of hydro morphine for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Possession of Oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Possession of proceeds of crime not exceeding $5,000.



Both suspects appeared in a Thunder Bay courtroom on Wednesday and have been remanded into custody until Feb. 17.
