KENORA – Two Kenora residents are facing drug trafficking charges as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of illegal drugs.
According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, police executed a search warrant Friday around 10: 45 a.m. in the 1100 block of Minto Avenue in Kenora.
As a result of the investigation, officers seized drugs with a street value of about $86,000 and more than $5,200 in cash and drug paraphernalia.
Police have charged Danielle Bryant, 34, and Candace Kenyon, 40, with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-methamphetamine, possession of a schedule I substance-cocaine and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The first accused was held for bail and the second was released on a Form 10 to attend Kenora court on Aug. 26 to answer to the charges.
