Two in hospital following two-vehicle collision

THUNDER BAY -- Two people are in hospital following a two-vehicle collision on the corner of Dease and McKenzie streets. Emergency services were called to the scene around 10:20 a.m. Saturday.

THUNDER BAY -- Two people are in hospital following a two-vehicle collision on the corner of Dease and McKenzie streets.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 10:20 a.m. Saturday.

The woman driving the minivan that collided with a pickup truck was reported to have lost consciousness from the impact but she was conscious when firefighters extracted her from the vehicle and paramedics placed her in an ambulance on a stretcher. 

The ambulance left the scene without its sirens ignited. 

The minivan's passenger was also transported to hospital. A spokesperson for the Thunder Bay Police Service said both injuries are not life-threatening.
