THUNDER BAY -- Two people are facing charges after allegedly being found in possession of a large amount of copper wire at a city bus terminal.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers went to the Water Street bus terminal around 9:30 p.m. Thursday night after receiving reports of two suspicious males, which led to the discovery of the copper wire, according to a police media release issued Friday afternoon.

The subsequent investigation determined the wire was taken from a locked Front Street compound of Thunder Bay Hydro.

The two men -- a 31-year-old and a 39-year-old -- were arrested and charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000.

They appeared in court Friday morning.
