Two men charged with intimidation, extortion in drug trafficking incident

Two Thunder Bay men face charges of intimidation, extortion and threats involving drug trafficking.

It’s alleged that the two men used their association with the Hells Angels to intimidate and induce a 26-year-old man into a series of criminal acts relating to the trafficking of 1,000 Oxycodone pills between March 7 and April 13.

A 45-year-old man has been charged with adult extortion, adult intimidation, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, utter a threat and unauthorized possession of a weapon.

Another man, 27, is charged with adult extortion, adult intimidation, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, three counts of uttering threats and failure to comply with an undertaking.

The two men are in custody.

The suspects will appear in court Monday.
