THUNDER BAY — Two people were rescued from the Neebing River by Thunder Bay Fire Rescue crews on Tuesday.
Firefighters received a call about two individuals struggling to remain above water, according to a new release issued Wednesday afternoon.
Once on scene, fire crews initiated the rescue. Four firefighters entered the river in water rescue gear with a rapid deployment craft.
The two people were successfully brought to shore and received care from paramedics before being taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
