Two stolen trucks, multiple vehicle break-ins reported in Shuniah

OPP say the two stolen trucks have been recovered, while the vehicle break-ins resulted from unlocked vehicles.

SHUNIAH, ON - Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the theft of two trucks and multiple vehicle break-ins that occurred in Shuniah over the week.

On Saturday, a truck was stolen from an Alder Road address. On Tuesday, a truck was stolen from a Sunrise Beach Road address.

Both of the trucks were recovered and both of the investigations are ongoing.

Police have also received multiple reports of break-ins into unlocked vehicles. In a release, police said various items and currency have been stolen over the past few weeks in the Shuniah area.

OPP is requesting that any suspicious activity is reported immediately, and are reminding the public to remove valuables, roll up windows, lock vehicles. and keep keys inaccessible.
