Two Thunder Bay COVID outbreaks declared over

There are currently eight outbreaks in high-risk settings in Thunder Bay.

THUNDER BAY — An outbreak of COVID-19 at St. Joseph's Hospital is now over.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit and St. Joseph's Care Group announced Monday that there are no longer any infections among either patients or staff working on 2 South, Medically Complex Services.

TBDHU and Chartwell Glacier Ridge Retirement Residence also announced the end of an outbreak at the facility on Jasper Drive.

According to TBDHU, there are now eight publicly disclosed COVID outbreaks in high-risk settings in the city, including Shelter House, the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre, and long-term care homes.
