GERALDTON, Ont. – A pair of youths in this community face 16 charges following reports of thefts from vehicles late last week.
Greenstone detachment OPP officers began receiving reports about vehicles being broken into in Geraldton Thursday, Aug. 23. Police say items were removed from the vehicles broken into.
The thefts were believed to have taken place late Wednesday evening.
Following an investigation, a 14-year-old boy and 12-year-old boy were arrested and charged. Police laid a total of 16 charges against the youths, including theft, mischief, trespass at night, possession of property obtained by crime and breaching court orders.
Police are now reminding residents to keep their vehicles locked at all times. Police are also suggesting that valuable items or money not be left in vehicles.
