Ultimate Gymnastics medals at first competition in two years

Ten athletes from Ultimate Gymnastics 2021-22 competitive team converged on the Nation’s Capital this past weekend to represent the club in their first Women’s Artistic Gymnastics provincial qualifier in over two years.

Hosted by Club de gymnastique Les Sittelles, the ENVOL 2022 meet featured 230 gymnasts from 11 clubs across the province.   

Suiting up for the local club, while making multiple trips to the podium, were Malia Sutton (Level 6 – Age 11), Sophia Frattaroli (Level 6 – Age 13), Jordan Mastrangelo (Level 6 – Age 15+), Fiona Agostino (Level 7 – Age 11-12), Olivia Agostino, Kayln Crocker and Poppy Henderson (Level 7 – Age 13-14), Amanda Mastrangelo (Level 7 – Age 15+), Avery Martin (Level 8 – Age 12-13) and Zara Reboks (Level 8 – Age 14-15). 

Next up, the club will send 26 of its 66 member competitive squad to St Catherine’s in April, with a berth in the Ontario Championships on the line. 

Ultimate Gymnastics is Thunder Bay’s premier private gymnastics facility, offering children of all ages and skill level the opportunity to learn the sport of gymnastics both recreationally and competitively.
