Union Gas to cut natural gas rates

The Ontario Energy Board approved a rate change Monday that will cut the price of natural gas for Union Gas users. The change will drop the price of a cubic metre of gas from 13.59 cents to 12.05 cents.

The Ontario Energy Board approved a rate change Monday that will cut the price of natural gas for Union Gas users. 

The change will drop the price of a cubic metre of gas from 13.59 cents to 12.05 cents. That’s a drop of more than a cent-and-a-half per cubic metre. 

Officials with the utility said the reduction should result in savings of anywhere from $8-to-$46 each year.
