THUNDER BAY – At this point, no upcoming bookings at the Fort William Gardens have been affected after a car smashed through the facility’s wall on Wednesday.
The city issued a media release Thursday afternoon, stating the box office remains open and no upcoming events have been cancelled or postponed after a 45-year-old woman drove her vehicle through a southwest wall at the corner of Miles and Vickers streets.
A structural assessment of the building is being conducted to determine the extent of damage and necessary repairs. A women’s washroom suffered heavy damage.
The Gardens was closed at the time of the crash and nobody was injured inside. The driver had only minor injuries.
