THUNDER BAY – Members of city council received nearly $585,000 in total remuneration and expenses in 2015.

The annual summary of remuneration and expenses report for the mayor and 12 councillors is on the agenda to be reviewed at Monday night’s meeting.

Mayor Keith Hobbs received the most total remuneration and expenses at $107,420, mostly a result of his $91,909 base salary.

Westfort Coun. Joe Virdiramo had the highest amount of councillors with $49,055, mainly a result of claiming nearly $10,000 in expenses.

The total remuneration and expenses essentially matches spending from 2014, which are both significantly less than the $618,000 collected in 2013.
