THUNDER BAY – A clean-up crew has been hard at work Saturday afternoon cleaning up after vandals spray-painted the two new Algoma Street statues.
An All Trades contractor and some volunteers have been scrubbing Acetone onto the recently vandalized statues in an effort to remove the spray paint.
After only four days of becoming a permanent resident on Algoma Street the two new half-creature wild men faced off against vandals.
The controversy over the two statues had become quite heated over the past few days that both art pieces were vandalized with red paint Friday evening.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers were called to the scene shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday morning.
A release from the police said there are no suspects at this time, but police are continuing the investigation.
