THUNDER BAY -- A driver has been charged after making an unsafe lane change that sent another vehicle into the ditch.

A Pontiac Grand Prix and Toyota Echo were beside one another heading south on the Thunder Bay Expressway between Oliver Road and John Street at about 4:45 p.m. on Saturday when the driver of the Pontiac tried to change lanes and collided with the Toyota.

The driver of the Toyota lost control and rolled the vehicle, where it ended up in the north bound ditch. That driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 61-year-old woman driving the Pontiac has been charged with making an unsafe lane change.
