THUNDER BAY -- Firefighters snuffed out a Westfort kitchen fire Monday morning.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue firefighters responded to reports of a fire in the 1400 block of Brown Street at about 7:30 a.m.
Firefighters at the scene found heavy smoke coming from the Westfort Tavern. Police were also called to the scene after the fire triggered a security alarm.
A media release issued by officials late Monday afternoon said the fire appears to be caused by a faulty power bar.
There were no injuries as a result of the fire.
