UPDATE: Severe thunderstorm watch re-issued for the city

THUNDER BAY - For the second time on Thursday, Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the city. The national weather agency issued the second watch around 3:30 p.m.

THUNDER BAY - For the second time on Thursday, Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the city.

The national weather agency issued the second watch around 3:30 p.m., warning conditions existed to create the potential for strong winds, heavy rain and hail.

The alert also reminds people severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.

The first severe thunderstorm watch was issued Thursday morning and lifted earlier in the afternoon.
