THUNDER BAY -- Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will pay Thunder Bay a visit on Friday.

It will be the first post-election visit for Trudeau, who swept into office last October. Trudeau is scheduled to deliver remarks at 1:30 p.m. at the Thunder Bay Transit headquarters on Fort William Road. A source has told tbnewswatch.com that he will be announcing $6 million for transit, though the PMO's office has given little information about what any announcement might be.

A spokesman from Nishnawbe Aski Nation confirmed Trudeau is sheduled to meet with NAN leadership during his brief visit.

Trudeau is spending Thursday in Sudbury and is expected to visit Sault Ste. Marie on Friday as well as Thunder Bay.
