US boater has Canadian court date after impaired boating charge

On June 11 at 6:45 pm, Ministry of Natural Resources Conservation Officers contacted police with an impaired boater on Rainy Lake. The driver of the vessel, a 56-year-old man from International Falls, Minn.

On June 11 at 6:45 pm, Ministry of Natural Resources Conservation Officers contacted police with an impaired boater on Rainy Lake.

The driver of the vessel, a 56-year-old man from International Falls, Minn., was arrested at the scene and transported to the Fort Frances Detachment and subsequently charged with Operating Vessel while Impaired by Alcohol, Operating Vessel with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 millilitres of Blood following the results of Breathalyzer tests.

He will appear in Fort Frances Court on July 11, 2016 to answer to the charge.
