Vandals target bus shelters, damages estimated in the thousands

THUNDER BAY – Nearly 10 bus shelters were vandalized overnight Thursday leading to thousands of dollars in damages, police confirm.

THUNDER BAY – Nearly 10 bus shelters were vandalized overnight Thursday leading to thousands of dollars in damages, police confirm.

Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say a series of mischief incidents were reported at nine bus shelters across the city overnight. Confirmed bus shelters that were targeted include:

  • Arthur Street just west of Highway 11
  • Victoria Avenue/Ford Street
  • Victoria Avenue/Lillie Street
  • Victoria Avenue/ Hyde Park
  • Banning Street/John Street
  • Grenville Avenue/Hodder Street
  • Cumberland Street/Beck Street
  • 2 Bus shelters on Edward Street between Victoria Avenue and Donald Street
