Victim of Richmond Hill homicide case believed to be Thunder Bay resident

Police in the Greater Toronto Area are investigating a murder that may involve a Thunder Bay resident. The incident happened north of Toronto just before 2 a.m. Saturday.

Police in the Greater Toronto Area are investigating a murder that may involve a Thunder Bay resident.

The incident happened north of Toronto just before 2 a.m. Saturday. York Region Police responded to a call from a condominium complex on Yonge Street in Richmond Hill, Ont.

Officers located a deceased female at the scene.

Unconfirmed reports indicate the woman was a 38-year old Thunder Bay resident.

All police are saying is that her identity is protected by a court-ordered publication ban.

The accused has been identified as 36-year old Jonathon Ross of Richmond Hill.

Ross has been charged with second-degree murder.

Other news agencies say the accused appeared in a Newmarket court Sunday.

He is reported to have had wounds to his face and hands and appeared extremely nervous.

The investigation is ongoing - more details will be released as they become available.
