The aftermath of a May long weekend party has caused an uproar on social media.
An area near an airstrip known as "The Point" on Sandstone Lake, around 90 kilometres West of Thunder Bay near Nolalu, has long been a popular spot for youth to spend the Victoria Day weekend.
Sometimes attracting hundreds, the weekend-long party is usually begrudgingly cleaned up by campers who own trailers and camps nearby. But the mess left behind this year was filmed by resident Paul Caccamo, who posted the video to Youtube and asked that the video be shared with the parents of any children who may have headed to Sandstone this year.
The video shows trash, bottles and even chairs left behind throughout the area and into the bush.
"The residents of this lake should not be cleaning up after your children. Please message me if you need a map and/or garbage bags for your return trip with your kids," Caccamo said on his Facebook page.
" This year we found broken bottles buried in the sand at the beach Who does this?" asked Stephen Woods, who posted pictures of the area to Facebook.
The video, posted Tuesday evening, had been shared more than 450 times on Facebook just before midnight.
"There is so much garbage left behind a truck wouldn't be able to take it all," said Sarah Groom, who shared the video.
