Video: No injuries reported after train crashes into tractor trailer in Kenora

A tractor trailer got hung up on the tracks and was struck by a passing train.

KENORA - A tractor trailer was struck by a passing train at the railway crossing near Beaver Brae Secondary School on Friday.

The tractor trailer unit attempted to cross the the railway from Railway Street onto Sixth Street North when it got hung up on the intersection railway tracks.

The train was not able to stop before colliding with the unit.

The incident was reported to police around 11:45 a.m. Central Time, and no injuries have been reported.

Members of the Kenora OPP, Kenora Fire and Emergency Service and Northwest EMS paramedics are all on scene and CP Police are enroute.

Traffic control is in place, and portions of Railway Street are closed. 

There has been no statement from the transportation safety board about the incident as of yet.
