Wanted man arrested: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police arrest a 37-year-old man wanted for bank robbery and parole violations.

IGNACE, Ont --The search is over for a man accused of bank robbery.

Ontario Provincial Police were advised by the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Unit of a 37-year-old man that may be travelling through the Northwest region wanted for bank robberies and parole violations.

On Monday, Ignace OPP observed the suspect vehicle travelling on Highway 17 westbound through Ignace.

Officers deployed a tire deflation device to stop the vehicle just east of Dryden.

Jeffery Gorsline, 37, was arrested on several outstanding warrants held by Niagara Regional Police Service, Halton Regional Police Service, Fredericton, Truro and Halifax Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

This investigation included the combined efforts of Ignace and Dryden Ontario Provincial Police detachment members, Northwest Region Crime Unit, Northwest Region Emergency Response Team and Dryden Police Service members.
