Water treatment plant malfunction puts Schreiber on boil water advisory

Acting Schreiber Mayor Mark Figliomeni said he hopes it won't last more than a day or two.

“I don’t expect it to be a long wit time,” he said during an interview with CKPR Radio. “I’m hoping that (the boil water advisory will be lifted), if not tomorrow, then on Wednesday.”

The Thunder Bay District Health United advises residents under a boil water advisory boil their water from one minute before using it to cook, drink or brush your teeth with.

The Health Unit also recommends using hand sanitizer after washing your hands.
